American History is a DUAL CREDIT class. This means that the class will incorporate practices that students may see in college, with note taking and test prepping as a big part. A challenge exam will be given at the end of the semester/year that consists of a 100 point exam...75 multiple choice questions and (1) essay question. If a student scores an 75% on the exam, they will earn a college credit in U.S. History.

Students will have quizzes based on their notes/PPTs and will receive a study guide for their topic summary tests. This will put responsibility on the student to keep an organized folder, take complete notes, and study more thoroughly for the summary tests. The class will consist of a required folder for a grade, summary tests, quizzes, and homework.

The class will begin with Reconstruction and continue through the decades up until present day, as time will allow in class.
