The TPHS National Beta Club recently donated $750.00 to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and its fight against childhood diseases, especially cancer. Houston Davis, interpreter at TPHS, received the check on behalf of St. Jude. Davis participates in 5K's and half marathons for St. Jude. Congratulations to Forrest Atkins for qualifying for the TN State Golf Tournament that is to be held on October 7 and 8. Atkins shot an 80 in the Regional Golf Tournament and finished in the top three. Seniors Cal Moser and Jake Tallent and Sophomore Maddie Dodson also participated in regional play.
The 2020-2021 FAFSA application opened October 1 to anyone wanting to attend college. ..............The Federal Student Aid money is based on income, and money goes fast. So, the earlier a student applies - the BETTER! ..............If you need help with the FAFSA application, please stop by guidance or call to make an appointment for after school!
The 2019-2020 TPHS Baseball Team is needing sponsors for the "Beary Merry Christmas Ugly Sweater 5K Run," which takes place on December 14, 2019. The River Valley AgCredit recently donated $6,000 to the TPHS FFA program. RVAC donated a total of $132,000 in special gifts to 22 FFA chapters in its service areas in western Kentucky and eastern Tennessee.
The Monroe County Dental Clinic sent a form home with your child that describes what services are offered to Monroe County students, which includes transportation to/from school to the dental clinic. -------------------------------------- Please send form back to the school or call 423.442.3677 if you would like to apply for their services or have questions!
