Fort Loudon Essay Contest Winner

Junior Makenzie Dale is this year's Fort Loudon Essay Contest winner from TPHS. She was awarded a $500 scholarship and will be taking a trip to Washington, D.C. this summer with other winners from electrical cooperatives in Tennessee. Congratulations, Makenzie!

Wilson Places 2nd in "Voice of Democracy"

Junior Dana Wilson placed 2nd in the state for her VFW "Voice of Democracy" essay. She was presented several awards as well as a check for $1,000 from Eric Spurbeck, VFW Post 5156 and District 3 Commander. Congratulations, Dana!

Sports Physicals for School Year 2019-2020

All students trying out/participating for any school sports next year must have an up-to-date sports physical. Students who wish to have their sports physicals at TPHS MUST submit a Sports Physical Packet by March 22 to Nurse Amy Gregory. Appointments fill up quickly; therefore, students need to see Nurse Amy ASAP to pick up a packet, complete it, and turn it back in to her so that an appointment is guaranteed through the school!

TPHS Students Place in 2019 Tennessee Science Bowl

Four TPHS students recently placed 4th in the Aluminum Division in the 2019 TN Science Bowl, held on February 23, 2019. The event was sponsored by ORNL. 2019 District Basketball winners

Bears and Lady Bears Take District Wins

Congratulations to both TPHS basketball teams on winning 1st place in Division I, Class A, Region 2, District 4 tournament. Seniors Jesse Lambert and Samantha Russell were both named MVP! Great job, Bears and Lady Bears! #MaroonMeansSomething

2019 PROM

The 2019 Junior/Senior Prom, "You Are the Reason," will be held on April 27, 2019, from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m., at Hilton Airport Knoxville, located in Alcoa. Tickets will go on sale March 1. The cost per ticket is $40 throughout March and $50 afterwards. Outside date forms are in the front office and are due to Mr. Harris by April 12.

2018 New Beta Members

2018 BETA "Character" Day

New junior and senior TPHS BETA Club members recently celebrated "Character" Day. The National BETA Club is an honor society that promotes "Lead By Serving Others." Our chapter volunteers many hours each year by serving the community and by raising money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Congratulations to our new members!
