My Bio

 

Hello, everyone!

 

I am a proud member of the Tellico Plains community and have been a teacher here in Monroe County for these last fifteen years! I am originally from West Virginia, but I moved here while attending Lee University in Cleveland and meeting/marrying my husband Nathan (the librarian here at TPHS). 

 

Nathan and I have three children who go to school here in Tellico and have two dogs, Wayne and Garth. Our family enjoys watching the Bears on Friday nights (husband coaches and son plays), playing sports, camping, hiking, and most of us are avid readers (...not the librarian, though...). We also are members of New Providence and big Volunteer fans!!!

 

As an ELA teacher for both English I and II, I love watching students grow and learn how to best communicate with others. I truly believe each student is in my room for a reason and has a great purpose in life. I am proud to teach my students and learn from them as well!
