Overview

I love to share my knowledge with others, and I love to learn from others. I believe that we never stop learning. Life is a learning pathway of experiences. Even when we get old, we could still learn from our young and older generations.  I am so happy to be part of Monroe County Schools and part of Tellico Plains High School and its community. It was one of my dream to teach at TPHS after I became a teacher. Go Bears!

 

Why did I decide education as a career? Before I decided to get into the teaching program at Miami Dade College, I was a student in the nursing program. A conversation about my future made me realize that money is not what matters, and what matters is that I will do what makes me happy. I am glad I found myself in the wrong field. A factor that contributed to my career was the fact that I have an aunt and grandmother who were teachers -----seeing their passion for teaching inspired me to pursue the the path of education. I love to be around young and older children. I always want to create a positive environment for my students and be a professional, loving what I am doing.

 

Learning a little bit about me, my family is essential to me, and I love to spend time with them, especially during the holidays. I am from Cartagena, Colombia, where everyone celebrates any special occasion, so I like to do it. I moved to the United States of America in 2004. I moved with my family to Tennessee in 2015. I enjoy going to the movies, dancing, listening to music, traveling with my family, watching programs such as crime documentaries and on patrol, and going to mass (church). I have three children. I have a cat, a dog, and chickens. In the future, I would like to have a pig :)
