Overview

Mrs. Tonya Brown - STEM I and STEM II, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics
Education: MS, TN Technology University; BS, TN Technology University

Welcome to Mrs. Brown's class!

This upcoming school year I have been given the opportunity to teach a new program within the Career and Technical Education Department titled STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).  In October, thanks to a grant from the state, I will have a well stocked lab. In this STEM course, we are going to learn the basics of simple programming, circuits, fabrication, digital drafting, robotics, and so much more!  I am so excited and can't wait for the students at Tellico Plains High School to explore this new CTE course of study!

About Me:  I have been teaching at Tellico Plains High School since 1996.  I graduated from Tellico and attended Tennessee Technological University where I received my Bachelors in Science Education and my Masters in Administration.  I love to read science fiction books and watch Star Trek/Star Wars (anything nerdy).  I have a wonderful family and a big fat cat.  I can't wait to get to know my students this year!  I hope 2023-2024 will be a great school year!
